Expert Veneer Craftsman

High-end architectural millwork company in search of an EXPERT full-time veneer department technician. 5+ years experience working with veneer, knowledge of wood species, analyzing which beautiful parts to use, etc. Skills required:Cutting, stitching, splicing of veneers. Step pressing, applying laminates, using hot and cold glues, applying door skins Machinery Knowledge Required:utilizing veneer press and guillotine, belt sander, cutting on table saw Minimum 5+ years experience, ------ Established 25 years ago, and run as a small family owned business, we specialize in high-end architectural millwork. We specialize in both residential and commercial millwork Physical Requirements: ​- Must be able to lift or carry up to 80 lbs - Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more Education Requirements: - None Environmental Requirements: - This is a physically demanding position - Must be able to push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) lbs - Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours - May be exposed to extreme temperature changes of 40 degrees or less, or 85 degrees or more, for extended periods of time and noise - Exposure to dust particles and solvents as a result of cutting/working material in the shop - Must be able to wear all PPE full time, as this job includes substantial exposure to solvents, stains, lacquers, etc. - The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to the position.
