In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Senior Developer you'll be a key contributor in designing developing testing and supporting software solutions that empower clients on their hybrid cloud and AI journeys. You'll work with the latest technologies to build responsive scalable fault-tolerant and maintainable systems.
- Solid experience with Python and one or more web frameworks like Flask FastAPI or Django
- Strong experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- solid experience working with ORM like SQLAlchemy and Django ORM
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns.
- Hands-on experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Podman) and Kubernetes.
- Proficient with Git and other version control systems.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with a focus on CI/CD practices.
- experience writing and maintaining tests using popular testing and mocking frameworks like PyTest unittest and unittest.mock
- Data engineering experience and knowledge in Pandas Numpy or related frameworks
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks and the GenAI tech stack
- Familiarity with other backend technologies such as Node.js or Java.
- Front-end development experience using React or Angular.
- Cloud certifications or experience with one or more of cloud providers: AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Actively contribute to IT communities sharing knowledge and driving technical excellence.
- TDD PEP8 MyPy are not just words for you
- Prior experience in mentoring junior developers or leading technical teams is advantageous.
