Graphic Design Intern

THE POSITION

In this position, you will support Cosm by developing marketing assets in various digital and print mediums, as well as assisting on larger marketing projects across the company’s business verticals.

An in-depth understanding of design principals, effective communication and content management is needed, with additional desired interest to learn and develop new skillsets which will further effectiveness.

The Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the marketing team and product managers to create digital and print collateral, marketing materials used for online and in-person conferences, support the onsite sales center and other marketing content, as needed.

LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

Program Dates: Interns will work up to 240 hours between 1/23/2023 to 04/28/2023

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Sr. Designer and leadership to identify and develop conceptual design comps for review
• Develop creative art concepts from briefs while utilizing the company’s brand standards
• Work with project stakeholders and implement their feedback when iterating on artwork
• Prepare production-ready files for all mediums, including digital and print
• Manage digital assets through an organized directory system
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to keep projects on track and in line with leadership’s requirements

Experience and Requirements

• Senior in a graphic design or related program
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite software
• Understanding of both digital and print design workflows and principals
• A high attention to design detail, with interest in usability, brand language, and customer journey
• Solid communication skills and the ability to work within a remote team environment
• Ability to present and defend your thought process
• A solid desire to develop as a graphic designer
• Ability to solve problems and remain calm under pressure

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
