A well-established, upscale restaurant in the Glen Mills area is seeking a passionate and experiencedChefto lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fine dining, with a passion for food and hospitality. As Chef, you will be responsible for menu planning, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your leadership will inspire the team to create memorable dishes that delight our guests. Salary negotiable based on experience. Responsibilities • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting dietary needs. • Manage inventory control and ensure proper food handling practices are followed. • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during events and regular dining hours. • Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. • Implement cost-effective measures while maintaining quality standards in food service management. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Experience • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. • Strong background in fine dining establishments. • Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food production, and culinary techniques. • Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing shifts effectively. • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team. • Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control measures is essential. • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
