As we are expanding our operations, we are searching for a talented and experienced Injection Team Leader to joinour manufacturing teamat their new Hutto TX location. Summary of position: The Injection Team Leader will coordinate the shift of manufacturing activities of 6 Injection/Molding machines in the production department. They will maintain the training documentation of all employees and provide assessments of their abilities and skills. Will assist the Assistant Production Manager in assigning employees to the appropriate positions according to the employees’ abilities and skill set. The team leader will provide directions to production team members, to meet the production schedule. They will be responsible for communicating mechanical issues to the maintenance department that are found during shift as well as informing the Assistant production manager and/or Supervisor of mechanical issues, downtime and inability to meet hourly KPIs. To maintain production schedules, the team leader will serve as relief operator and provide coverage for employees who call out, don’t show up or experience an emergency. They will be responsible for logging downtime, scrap, and reworks to ensure KPI limiting factors are addressed. Responsibilities • Serve as first point of contact for all shift personnel • Assists technical personnel with shift changeovers, repairs, maintenance projects, etc. • Maintain production levels to meet customer demands and achieve proper levels as dictated by schedule • Comprehend and operate the Injection/Mold machine • Maintain subcomponent supplies to ensure continuous operations • Provide status updates to management on production levels, product quality, scrap reporting, etc. • Communicate with outgoing and/or incoming Team Leader to review production requirements, machine problems, etc. to ensure smooth transition between shifts • Maintain realistic work-in-progress (WIP) levels • Schedule production employees on specific machines/duties according to their strengths and abilities to meet scheduled production requirements • Assists “on shift” quality and maintenance personnel as needed • Mentors and contributes to the training of new team members • Adheres to and administers company policies and procedures • Actively seeks out areas for improvement and devises/aids in the development of improvement processes • Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO/TS16949 and has the responsibility to contact Team Leads and/or stop processes that could ship a non-conforming product. • Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO14001 and ISO 45001; the company’s environmental, health, and safety risks of their job, and how their job affects the environment. · Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by management Required Qualifications • High school diploma or G.E.D. • Flexibility to work on any shift as needed · Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail · Ability to adapt to changing business needs and to prioritize workload to focus on dynamic business objectives · Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook · Capability to utilize ERP system for inventory purposes · Knowledge of and ability to understand KPI’s Benefits · Medical/Dental/Vision · Ancillary benefits (Critical Care/Accident) · 401K with company match · STD/LTD · Life Insurance · Paid Time Off Pay range for this position is between $16.50 and $17.50 depending on experience Seoyon E-Hwa Texas Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
