Janitor/Maintenance

Required Qualifications: · At least 1+ years of experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred · Ability to work weekends and late night shifts required (At minimum, 5pm - 10pm M-F, or 4pm - 12am M-F) · Basic understanding of facilities maintenance tasks · Ability to listen and respond non-judgmentally with empathy. · Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing · Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment · Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision · Understanding of confidentiality. Principal Functions: Reporting to Operations and the Office Manager, the Janitor/Maintenance worker is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building. They are responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of the overall facility to ensure all participants, guests, and staff have a pleasant office experience. Job Duties Include(but not limited to): · Maintain upkeep and cleanliness of facility per DOH, OSHA, and CDC guidelines relative to the health & safety of staff, participants, and community. Assist in activities such as painting, replacing of ceiling tiles, and general appearance of facility. · Keep all supplies replenished in participant and staff bathrooms, hygiene stations, personal protective equipment in SEP, and throughout all offices. · Observe and maintain a clean sidewalk around perimeter of ground floor suite. · Empty all garbage and recycling on a regular basis and coordinate for garbage & recycling removal on a weekly basis. · Mitigate and communicate any pest control issues. · Ensure all exits and ways of egress are clear at all times. · Inspect fire extinguishers on a monthly and as needed basis. · Perform light maintenance duties relative to overall upkeep of offices. · Assist with setting up the drop-in space for special events. · Assist with the processing of dirty dishes and the deep cleaning of kitchen on a regular basis. · Furnish janitor/maintenance checklists and facilities inspections on a regular and as needed basis. · Ability to lift 30 lbs. · Participate in regular supervision, trainings, and staff meetings. · Perform other duties as assigned.
