Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Carpenter to lead a crew and execute a variety of critical construction tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of carpentry principles, a strong work ethic, and proven leadership abilities. This role is essential to our project success, ensuring the quality and timely completion of concrete, framing, window and door installation, and siding work. Responsibilities: • Crew Leadership:Effectively lead, train, and manage a team of carpenters and laborers to achieve project goals. • Site Management:Oversee and coordinate daily on-site activities for carpentry-related tasks, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards. • Concrete Work:Lay out, form, pour, and finish concrete for various applications (foundations, slabs, footings, etc.). • Framing:Precisely lay out and frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components according to blueprints and building codes. • Window & Door Installation:Expertly install a wide range of windows and doors, ensuring proper flashing, sealing, and operation. • Siding Installation:Install various types of siding materials (e.g., fiber cement, wood, vinyl, etc.) with attention to detail and weatherproofing. • Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with industry standards. • Material Management:Assist with material take-offs, ordering, and inventory management to ensure timely availability of necessary supplies. • Safety Compliance:Enforce and adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment for the entire crew. • Problem Solving:Identify and troubleshoot issues on-site, implementing effective solutions in coordination with the Project Manager. • Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with the Project Manager, other trades, and crew members. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a lead carpenter or similar role in residential construction. • Proven experience in all aspects of concrete forming and pouring. • Expertise in wood framing techniques, including wall, floor, and roof framing. • Extensive experience with the installation of various types of windows and doors. • Proficiency in installing different siding materials. • Strong understanding of local building codes and construction best practices. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents accurately. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • OSHA certification is a plus. • Must have Green Card or Legal Citizenship Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) regularly. • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods. • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
