Title:Machinist/ Manual Piecework No CNC Compensation: Non-exempt (hourly) Location Direct Report:Service Manager Summary of Responsibilities: The primary responsibility for the Machinist position is to provide service to Kenco Hydraulics customers in repairs, maintenance, refurbishing or rebuilding of equipment and products. The service department machinist must always exhibit positive and effective interaction with all Kenco Hydraulics customers, associates and vendors. Job Duties Include: · Commit and uphold the Kenco Hydraulics safety commitment in all actions and communications as it applies in our safety manual and procedures. · Refurbish, rebuild and replace required components to restore equipment to required working order. · Read and understand basic blueprints with knowledge of basic welding principles and practices. · Able to operate a lathe, mill and welder accurately; capable of wire feed, TIG and MIG welding. · Perform welding and fabrication tasks as the project requires. · Maintaining a clean work area for safety and to expedite project completion. · Able to work overtime. · Perform any and all other duties assigned by the management. Skills/Qualifications:Proficient in Welding and Mechanical Fabrication; Cylinder Repair Knowledge is a Plus; Ability to Learn Lathes, Milling Machines, Drill Presses and Similar Equipment; Highly Motivated with Ability to Work Independently; Detail Oriented; Excellent Problem Solving Skills; Ability to Plan Schedule and Organize the Work Area; Communication Skills(written & verbal), Basic Computer Skills or Ability to Learn for Record Keeping; High Level of Integrity and Ethical Values; Clean Drive Record; Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a regular basis; Consistently use Arms & Legs with Full-Range of Motion; Frequent Stooping, Bending, Squatting & Kneeling; Exert Push and Pull Forces.
