We are looking for an IT Manager to support a team of skilled IT engineers. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of IT systems and processes and is adept in growing a healthy and productive team. The ideal candidate must excel in communication and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate at all levels including delivering unpopular or difficult messages with a balanced approach.

The IT Engineering team at 1Password builds and maintains secure systems and services bridges technology gaps and empowers humans to do their best most efficient work. The team automates away manual tasks integrates business systems and acts as the subject matter expert for critical IT systems. The work we do touches everyone at the company every day.

IT Engineering is responsible for the configuration and upkeep of the company's identity and access management system (including connections to an HRIS) helping ensure employees have timely access to the tools they need. The team also manages endpoint health securing and maintaining the company's fleet of macOS Windows and Linux devices.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

• 2 years of experience managing a team of high-performing IT engineers.

• 8+ years of IT experience.

• The ability to create and maintain a positive healthy team environment in which everyone is supported encouraged and meaningfully challenged to do great work.

• Capable of driving the delivery of projects and creating roadmaps for future work.

• Effective in cross-functional communication and building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders at all levels.

• Deep understanding of IT fundamentals - Identity management SaaS administration MDM EDR cross-platform endpoint support.

• A focus on the end user experience coupled with a profound respect for user privacy and information security.

• Drive alignment and be responsible for the results of the IT Engineering team in support of broader company objectives.

• Collaborate with managers and senior individual contributors to create an engaging technical vision for IT Engineering.

• Participate in setting strategic direction for IT at 1Password.

• Work to scope and plan key deliverables for projects and initiatives with the team.

• Foster cross-functional relationships with teams across the organization including Security HR Finance Cloud Platform Engineering.

• Influence healthy and positive team morale.

• Grow individual contributors to reach their potential.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $133000 USD and $179000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health dental 401k and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $112000 CAD and $152000 CAD plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health dental RRSP and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.
