The Manager Revenue Accounting is responsible for accuracy and reporting of revenue results for 1Password. This is a highly visible role as it requires frequent interactions with stakeholders across the company including Sales Legal Financial Operations and other departments. The ideal candidate will thrive in collaborative environments will have technical ability to understand complex revenue generating contracts and will possess affinity for scalable processes which promote efficiency and achieve high control compliance standards.

We are looking for an individual with passion for accounting who will embrace continuous improvement and will drive themselves and those around them to perform successfully in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

This role will initially report into the Chief Accounting Officer with possibility of reporting into a Director of Revenue Accounting in the near future. The role will initially oversee one Senior Accountant.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in accounting with a CPA designation

• An understanding of technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP

• Excellent people management skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities while being flexible and resilient

• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision while adhering to essential deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

• A knack for learning things on your own and quickly adapting to new environments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate teamwork skills

• Advanced expertise with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications experience with NetSuite and SalesForce is considered an asset

• Experience with any data visualization tools such as Looker is considered an asset

• Experience in the tech industry is preferred.

What you can expect:

• Oversee month-end close process for revenue including responsibility for accuracy and completeness of revenue deferred revenue and accounts receivable balances as presented within 1Password’s financial statements.

• Own responsibility for designing and implementing control-compliant processes in the order-to-cash business cycle.

• Partner with Financial Operations Sales Operations the CAO Sales and others to establish new processes and establish review requirements for sales deals.

• Collaborate with members of the FP&A team to ensure alignment in understanding for how various transactions are accounted for.

• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team on invoicing processes to optimize for customer satisfaction while realizing synergies in operating efficiency.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $127000 USD and $171000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health dental 401k and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $111000 CAD and $150000 CAD plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health dental RRSP and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.
