Mentor role for iOS Development with SwiftUI and SwiftData track

Position Overview: Mentors are industry professionals who provide world-class technical support to our learners in their Nanodegree journey. All our mentors are handpicked through a rigorous selection process so that we can truly be #studentfirst.  As a mentor you will be meeting virtually on a weekly basis with your students for community support live office hours and other activities. Required skills/qualifications:

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Eligibility Requirements: Mentors must have at least 7 years of industry experience or a master’s degree in the relevant field.

• Technical competence: Swift Programming Language (including advanced topics like Protocols Generics and Error Handling) SwiftUI for building modern declarative iOS user interfaces SwiftData and/or Core Data for robust data persistence and state management iOS Networking Concurrency and Application Authentication protocols Xcode environment and the complete iOS application lifecycle.

• Graduate from a Udacity Nanodegree Program is a added plus

• Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking organizing technical talks or webinars

• Positive character trusted by the students creating emotional ties in the group

• Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge part-time as an external contractor

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for students over an online community forum

• Answer questions around course content over the forum and facilitate content for students who get stuck in learning

• Host one weekly live virtual session to offer direct real-time support to students.

• Redirect learners to appropriate support channels and escalate issues to the Mentor Operations team when needed
