In this role, you will deliver technical solutions in the Observability and Monitoring area based on customers' monitoring requirements.
We are seeking a technically skilled Monitoring Solutions Engineer - Senior, to join our fast-paced Freddie Mac Event Management team. The role requires deep experience in network device management and technical expertise in network monitoring and automation. The candidate will lead initiatives to work with customers and collect their monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding requirements and design, deliver solutions based on the requirements, and enhance the process with automation.

Our Impact:
- Our team provides Enterprise Observability and Monitoring service through many monitoring tools that we administer, maintain and operate.
- Our team collaborates with Infrastructure, Network, Database, Platform, Operations Center, and other teams to understand their requirements and deliver monitoring solutions and advance our technical capabilities of the suite of monitoring tools.
- Our team aligns with the Enterprise Observability and Monitoring strategy and plays a crucial role in delivering key achievements to increase our overall IT Stability, Reliability and Resiliency.
Your Impact:
- Collaborate with other teams to provide issue diagnosis, analysis, solutioning, and delivering all monitoring and performance requirements.
- Work closely with Network, Database, VM, and Storage administrators to perform routine operations such as performance tuning, updating monitoring and assisting in filling any monitoring gaps.
- Upgrade monitoring tools to the vendor-recommended version to provide new monitoring capabilities.
- Perform customization, configurations and develop scripts or interfaces as applicable to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Provide dashboarding and analytics solutions to customers based on requirements.
- Interact with various teams to understand their monitoring, performance, and analytics requirements and build framework and plan for delivering solutions accordingly.
- Seek opportunities for automation and integration of various monitoring tools.
- Evaluate technology standards, products, risks and benefits of new technologies and tools.
- Promote optimal solutions and design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field
- 5+ years of related work experience in the Network, monitoring and automation area
- Proven experience with network performance monitoring tools or network configuration and automation.
- Hands on experience managing and administering monitoring tools, such as Riverbed Suites of tools or equivalent tools.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to a diverse audience.
- Experience working and delivering in an Agile environment.
- Strong Network, monitoring, and automation skills; experience working with various database types is preferred.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $133,000 - $175,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
