Techs are not dispatched directly from home. ** PHCC School Tuition PAID FOR BY DOWNEY PLUMBING for Service Techs in Good Standing after a period of continuous employment ** WHO WE ARE: • We are a consistently busy plumbing & HVAC company that has been servicing Downey and the surrounding areas since 1932 • Downey Plumbing is a small to mid-sized family owned & operated company that values their employees and great client service • Our goal is to help our employees continue to grow in skills, experience and income as they build a strong & stable career with us in the residential & light commercial plumbing industry. • WHAT YOU'LL DO:Job Duties include responding to plumbing service calls on a daily basis with a Downey Plumbing provided dedicated/stocked van for your use within our defined service area (South & West LA County & North Orange County) • We service all types of residential and light commercial water heaters, stoppages, gas and water service lines, fixture repair & install, remodels, etc... • Every day is different ... we have a wide variety of work to keep your day moving and interesting • CONSISTENCY and RELIABILITY are the most important characteristics we are looking for • We are looking for excellent customer service and communication skills as well as solid trade knowledge & experience. Organizational, time management and follow thru skills, as well as sales experience are also important. • Must be willing & able to work in the rotation of On Call shifts - including weekends - approximately once every 2 months. • Note for HVAC Tech Applicants: If you have prior experience or interest in becoming an HVAC Tech, please note that we are only looking for a full time Plumbing Tech. If you have HVAC background and would like to work full time as a Plumber, please apply. We cannot guarantee you any HVAC work, only plumbing jobs. • DMV Report Info - PLEASE READ AND PROVIDE REQUIRED INFO BELOW: We can only interview applicants who have provided their driving record for our commercial vehicle insurance to review & approve. We cannot hire/employ any field employee who is not insurable under our policy. Our insurer requires 3 years w/no moving violations and 5 years since a DUI or a texting while driving violation.
