Preschool Art and Yoga Teacher

Havenwood Nature School is a preschool located on a beautiful, 15-acre ranch inDripping Springs, TX. We offer our students a nature inspired curriculum that connects the natural world with their social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Havenwood teachers place nature at the heart of every program and incorporate Reggio principles as they help students explore the world of nature. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic teacher for our preschool yoga and art enrichment programs. See requirements below *** We are currently hiring for an enthusiastic certified yoga and art instructor to guide our toddlers - preschool students in movement and breathwork. The successful candidate will have experience working with younger age groups and be willing to teach classes outdoors. RESPONSIBILITIES • Introduce and guide small groups of toddlers and preschoolers to yoga and breathwork. • Design creative and age-appropriate sequences for children that are engaging and accessible for different abilities (approximately 15-30 minutes per classroom). • Introduce and guide small groups of toddlers and preschoolers to reggio inspired and nature based artworks • Create and send brief weekly updates to families and teachers using the school's Family Communication App. • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. • Encourage self-expression, social/emotional growth, and a lasting appreciation for nature and learning. • Interact positively, respectfully, professionally with all members of the Havenwood Nature School community, including students, families, and fellow team members. SCHEDULE • Part-Time, 15-20 hours per week REQUIREMENTS • Must successfully complete and pass required state/federal background checks and drug test. • Must be eligible to work in the United States. • High School Diploma or GED. Associates from an accredited college or university preferred. • Minimum of 200 hours of formal yoga training. Certification in a yoga program designed for children preferred. • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or willing to obtain one before starting. • Previous experience with actively engaging with babies and young children in a daycare, preschool, or elementary setting preferred, but not required. • Strong interpersonal, time management, and classroom management skills. • Must enjoy teaching outdoors! Physical Requirements: • Able to navigate all areas of the classroom and school campus safely and quickly, including indoor and outdoor areas. • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds • Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children BENEFITS • Hourly Range (Based on Experience): $22.00 per hour • Earned Paid Time Off • Paid CPR & First Aid Training and Havenwood Training • Low Classroom Ratios Havenwood Nature School is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
