The Procurement Manufacturing Engineer provides support to supplier manufacturing line to assure production process according to IBM standards.
The PME role interacts between Development and supplier Engineering/Manufacturing to support the introduction of new products and follow up the EC’s implementation at supplier manufacturing line for new/products already in production.
Monitors supplier Quality performance and drives actions.
a) Quality
Ø Get fully involved in Quality/Technical interlocks to monitor product yields defined by IBM follow up Corrective Actions (8D’s).
Ø Drive Corrective Actions (8Ds) from field performance quality issues and follow up open Pre-stop/Stop ship.
Ø Address 2nd tier supplier quality issues to the appropriate commodity PQE and follow up CA (8Ds).
b) Engineering changes process participation.
Ø EC interlock weekly meetings participation between ME Supplier and PME/DEV IBM to review doubts or issues.
Ø Ensure EC’s implementation properly and on time.
c) Offspec / MFG PCN
Ø Product / process Off Spec/MFG PCN evaluation/approval and handshake with supplier team.
Ø Ensure properly implementation at supplier
d) Supplier manufacturing line support:
Ø Make sure orders drop correctly in IBM systems before sending to FXN.
Ø Process oversight to ensure technical requirements are met by partner
Ø Review/Approve qualification plans and results
Ø SAP / MFS / MOL/Thor setup and support to assure correct transmit orders to supplier.
Ø MFC / NewC validation.
Ø IPRC/Complex Sub Jason file generation/maintenance as required.
e) New Product Introduction
Ø Participating in NPI / DCT weekly meetings per product.
Ø Sign off PSRB’s and Follows PSRBs requirements.
Ø Weekly meetings to review the technical questions and provide support with new products if needed.
Ø Advise development and FXN to optimize product manufacturing at FXN.
Ø Participation in NP Readiness Review in pre-GA schedule
Ø Define MVT orders jointly with IBM Dev TE MPM & FXN supplier Engineering
Ø SAP initial MTM settings (Z-MAT: Classes / Characteristics)
Ø JSON File generation for IPRC / complex subassembly.
Ø MFS initial MTM settings (M30 rules / MOL - BX10 rules / RU10 rules: BEX & BOMIGNORE rules if apply).
