We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to provide support for ADMS Data Pipelines built on AWS. This role involves monitoring and responding to incidents ensuring timely resolution and collaborating with teams to maintain system stability. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of data engineering concepts.
In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
- Monitor Help Desk systems (e.g. ServiceNow ) to identify and respond to L1/L2 incidents .
- Acknowledge and set ticket status to “In Progress” within a 30-minute SLA .
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
- Document incident resolutions and maintain accurate records for future reference.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for support processes.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- ETL/ELT: Basic experience with ETL/ELT technologies.
- Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to incident management systems like ServiceNow .
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell) for automation.
