Primary Purpose:
The Program Manager is responsible for assisting the Operations Directors and Medical Directors with the development, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex diagnostic tests. The Program Manager works independently designing effective solutions and practices. The Program Manager delegates responsibilities, and implements best practices in the clinical lab environments.

Essential Functions:
Use experience and expertise to innovate, challenge assumptions and design practices when necessary.
Proactively network and build relationships within the laboratories to support the goals of the organization.
Support technical laboratory operations to identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for technical problems related to laboratory testing methods and result reporting.
Work collaboratively within the clinical laboratory to support operational quality and service goals.
Manage and communicate change to the appropriate stakeholders.
Involve other stakeholders in problem-solving and decision-making to gain buy-in and alignment
Anticipate obstacles and develop contingency plans to address them; take necessary corrective action when projects go off-track
Allocate time and resources needed to carry out activities.
With involvement of laboratory leadership, provide direction and delegate responsibility to staff; provide ownership of tasks while holding them accountable.
Apply knowledge gained from previous work experience in similar areas of service delivery to current position.
Demonstrate knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and agency guidelines for the diagnostic laboratory
Use knowledge of policies, rules and procedures to oversee processes that ensure laboratory compliance.
Assess value of new technologies, as well as the financial and business strengths of potential business partners.
Identify opportunities for new technologies or programs to grow ARUP.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
