This position includes a paid training program that includes job shadowing, e-learning modules, and structured clinical supervision. Please https://www.dupageco.org/HR/Benefits/ We are excited to offer the opportunity to work as a Public Health Nurse in our Family Health Services department. We have current availability at our Southeast Public Health Center, located in Westmont, IL on a full-time basis. The hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, with one to two days per week working until 7:00 pm. β€’ Provide WIC nutrition counseling and breastfeeding support β€’ Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for pregnant/postpartum individuals and their infants β€’ Connect clients to medical, social, and community resources through referrals β€’ Deliver nursing services in clinic, community, and home settings β€’ Counsel individuals and families on health needs and concerns β€’ Educate clients individually and in small groups β€’ Develop individualized care plans β€’ Administer vaccines and apply fluoride varnish for infants and children β€’ Perform screenings (perinatal depression, social determinants of health, ages and stages) β€’ Complete documentation in the electronic medical record β€’ Participate in emergency response activities as assigned β€’ Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Illinois β€’ Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred (Associate degree considered) β€’ One year of nursing experience preferred, not required
