Our Chicago office sources and supplies homeware products to major US retailers, including kitchen, décor, pet, automotive, outdoor and garden products. The Sales Assistant role is key to their success in supporting Account Managers to deliver great customer service and ensuring the on time delivery of products, while maintaining high quality standards. Our ideal candidate would be someone with experience working for wholesalers, sourcing agents or large retailers. We provide on-the-job training but industry experience is important to master the complexities of our business. The key responsibilities of the Sales Assistant role are: • Providing admin support to our sales team, including processing orders, quotes, creating presentations, etc. • Supporting Account Mangers to monitor production and trouble-shoot any issues that arise. • Delivering excellent customer service to buyer teams by maintaining regular communication, keeping them updated on orders and resolving problems. • Building relationships with suppliers and customers’ support teams. • Tracking and analyzing sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth. • Data entry, file management and reporting as required. You will need to be able to demonstrate: • At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience. • A positive and proactive personal style. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong planning and organizing skills with great attention to detail. • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. • A full driver’s license is required Our people are talented and entrepreneurial with expertise in their chosen categories.
