We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to design and build solutions for extract transform and load (ETL) processes primarily using IBM InfosphereDataStage.
In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining ETL data flows and transformations in our DataStage environment.
In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Design and implement ETL data flows and transformations in DataStage.
Collaborate closely with business analysts to understand data requirements and design effective solutions.
Optimize data flows to improve performance and reduce costs.
Contribute to data management projects including data modeling data validation and quality control implementation.
Ensure data quality and reliability by conducting thorough testing and validation.
Maintain and update existing ETL data flows and transformations.
Develop shell scripts for Unix/Linux environments
Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code
Debug and resolve code-level issues in ETL workflows
Participate in continuous improvement of data management processes and tools.
Proficiency with IBM DataStage SQL
Fluency in both French and English is required
Strong knowledge of SQL PL/SQL Unix Shell scripting
Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Availability for oncall activities ( when needed 2-3 times per year)
- Proficiency in data governance and data quality tools (e.g. data validation data cleansing etc.)
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud-based ETL platforms (e.g. AWS Glue Google Cloud Dataflow etc.)
