Laborie Medical Technologies Corp is currently searching for a Senior Engineer, Design & Development to join our team in the Murray, UT office.

How you contribute:

• Responsible for product engineering in compliance with medical device design control requirements globally.
• Project management for engineering changes or projects where a small team is required to perform the project results.
• Serve as primary R&D resource assigned to product design projects, whether they are being initiated due to design, manufacturing or other reasons, and be assigned products in line with capabilities.
• Maintain and update specifications, material selections, drawings and other documentation relevant the product as defined by the quality system.
• Be responsible for a variety of activities on new product development including design, prototyping, material selection, verification and validation, design for manufacture, and manufacturing transfer.
• Maintain documentation related to materials of concern in support of requirements related to REACH (EU regulatory compliance), RoHS (hazardous substance regulation), etc.
• Assess changes in production and any impact to the design of the product.
• Write protocols and reports for verification/validation of products throughout their lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree, or equivalent education, in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and 6 years relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education, in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and 8 years relevant experience.
• Experience must include:
  • 5 years experience with statistics and design of experiments.
  • Project management experience and the ability to coordinate cross functional teams and deliverables.
• Knowledge of applicable standards/regulations such as GMP, EU MDD/EU MDR, and ISO 13485.
• Understanding of business finance and budgeting.
• May telecommute and report as needed to Murray, UT office.
