Senior Manager, Organic Marketing – Services Industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Generator)
Overview
As Senior Manager of Organic Marketing, you'll lead our owned-media strategy to improve visibility, engagement, and lead generation across our core service lines—heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and generators. You’ll manage website content and SEO, orchestrate email communications to nurture interest, and optimize Google Business Profiles to drive local conversions. Your leadership will span cross-functional teams to align organic initiatives with company objectives and brand identity.
Pay Range: $75k-$120k
Key Responsibilities
• Website & SEO Strategy
• Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy—technical, on-page, off-page—to grow organic traffic and conversions.
• Lead keyword research, competitive audits, backlink building, site audits, schema implementation, speed and mobile performance improvements.
• Collaborate with web and content teams to enhance architecture, internal linking, and content relevance.
• Email & On-Site Content Engagement
• Manage email strategy: nurture sequences, newsletters, and promotional sends that convert service inquiries into booked jobs.
• Coordinate with content team to develop service-specific blog posts, FAQs, landing pages, rich content, and CTAs that educate and drive action.
• Google Business Profile (GMB) & Local SEO
• Working with the agency, optimize and maintain GMB listings for all locations—ensuring NAP consistency, high-quality images, service descriptions, categories, and timely review responses.
• Monitor local search rankings and optimize GMB Posts, Q&A, reviews, and citation sources to boost map-pack presence.
• Analytics & Optimization
• Define success metrics (organic leads, traffic, click‑to‑call, form submissions) and build dashboards in GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio.
• Run A/B tests on content, calls-to-action, and email visuals to continuously improve performance.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate with Creative, Sales and Operations teams to ensure on-brand, customer-focused messaging and UX across all organic channels.
• Mentor team members or external contributors (writers, SEOs, email specialists, local SEO pros).
• Planning & Reporting
• Lead quarterly planning—prioritizing SEO, content, email campaigns, and local SEO optimizations based on seasonal service trends.
• Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Experience: 6–8 years in organic marketing roles with ownership of SEO, content, email marketing, and local listings—ideally in home-services/SaaS industries.
• Technical SEO Skills: Proficient in site audits, structured data, technical implementations, backlink strategy, and GMB best practices.
• Tools: Strong user of GA4, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, email platforms, CMS systems, GMB dashboard, Looker Studio.
• Analytical Mindset: Skilled in testing, analytics, data storytelling, KPI dashboarding.
• Project Leadership: Excellent at managing multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and fast-paced environments.
• Communication: Clear, strategic communicator who can present insights and plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
