About This Job

The Commerce Bank Consumer Credit Card team is seeking a highly motivated, analytical individual, to solve unique product related customer attrition challenges. Credit cards make up the largest consumer lending market in the U.S. and continue to evolve at an accelerated pace through technology advances, unique changes in consumer behaviors and expectations, market disrupters, and macroeconomic forces. The ideal candidate for this position will own and embrace a research focused approach to solving attrition drivers and utilize this research to leverage and build strategies to support the key strategic objectives for the Consumer Credit Card line of business.

Essential Functions
  • Partner with internal data resources, utilize portfolio performance data, and industry trends to translate research investment into actionable recommendations that align with business goals
  • Effectively communicate attrition research findings and business justifications to reach team recommendation alignment
  • Develop related customer communications
  • Integrate findings and business justifications into new and existing attrition processes
  • Establish cross-team coordination to maximize learnings and impact of strategies across all channels and teams
  • Build and establish related tracking as needed to report on KPIs and incremental contributions from related activities
  • Utilize third party vendors and strategic partner collaboration to further the attrition research and related attrition strategies
  • Proactively monitor evolving industry trends and best practices
  • Develop long term attrition strategies for ongoing research and monitoring
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong understanding of key underlying business systems and business case development
  • Financial planning skills and understanding of key expense and revenue drivers as they relate to banking and credit cards
  • Analytical skills for interpreting and understanding data from multiple resources
  • Ability to develop customer facing communications
  • Critical thinking skills with creative problem solving
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 4+ years banking experience required
  • Related analytical or product experience preferred

Flexible work from home with 3 days in the office each week.
