TeamSnap is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our B2C mobile team. This team focuses on enhancing team communications and utilities within our mobile applications. In addition to working on this product development team this person will assume a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding the QA engineering team on test automation best practices. Our test automation stack includes Cypress Jest and Appium/TestNG. This role will directly report to the Quality Assurance Manager with cross functional stakeholders including Product Engineering and Customer Experience.

What You’ll Do:

Work closely with your product development team to inform and influence work.

Research and execute industry best practices for test automation.

Write automated UI API and E2E regression tests for our mobile and web applications.

Maintain and evolve test automation frameworks.

Design and implement test strategies test plans and test cases for mobile and web features.

Manually test new feature development utilizing test automation whenever possible.

Monitor production errors and debug test automation failures.

Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.

Review and provide feedback on developer-written tests including unit and integration tests.

Document test cases and create reusable regression scenarios for both manual and automated testing.

Manage test data across test automation frameworks.

Advocate for a quality focused culture by bringing testing to the core of your team’s processes.

Work closely with software developers and other QA engineers to analyze debug and resolve issues.

Mentor and train QA engineers in test automation.

What Will Set You Up for Success:

4+ years of relevant QA experience with mobile and web applications.

4+ years of experience writing automated test scripts.

2+ years of experience writing mobile automated test scripts.

Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript.

Strong knowledge of principles practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply this knowledge and skills.

Experience conceiving and implementing new quality checks to improve the product development lifecycle.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Deep knowledge of agile delivery principles and supporting processes.

Ability to mentor/train other team members in best software quality practices.

Bonus Points:

Experience writing unit tests.

Experience with Appium and Browserstack.

Desire to learn new technologies.

Compensation:

We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is $160000 inclusive of base and bonus with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience skills certifications and geographic location.

TeamSnap is a fully remote company so you need to be very comfortable working with people who aren’t in the same time zone as you. We are always expanding but there is a small list of states we do not hire in including Alabama Alaska Delaware District of Columbia Hawaii Iowa Louisiana Mississippi Nebraska New Mexico Rhode Island South Dakota and West Virginia and while we love all parts of the world we can only hire permanent US residents at this time.
