Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a Software Engineer focused on Infrastructure that will help us with our mission to empower healthcare professionals to find their dream job. This position is remote. 

You will:

• Join our infrastructure engineering team contributing to maintenance, upgrades, scalability, security, and site reliability
• Architect or re-architect systems with a focus on reliability and security
• Perform migrations and upgrades of major system components
• Triage and solve bug reports related to security
• Monitor site performance and reliability, mitigating outages and writing postmortems

THE SKILL SET: 

• Experience with NodeJS, relational databases, and AWS
• Experience using Redis and Memcache (nice to have)
• Experience with APM and other telemetry tools (nice to have)
• Experience on a distributed team (nice to have)

THE STACK:

We use React (web) / React Native (ios / android), NodeJS / Express (api server), npm / webpack / babel (packaging), Postgres / Sequelize (core data), AWS SQS (task queues), and Algolia (indexed data). Our code is deployed on Heroku and is mostly written in JavaScript though we use some Python. We strive to choose the right tool for the job & welcome new ideas.

THE SALARY, BENEFITS & PERKS:

The range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 yearly salary, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
