HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: As an integral member of the Accounting Team, this position of Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for: Responsibilities · Ready to work with the current system for one tax season and work independently and provide improvements in the second tax season · Proven experience in dealing with large excel files for the preparation of Federal and states income tax and franchise taxes for big C-Corporations, Partnerships preferably in the restaurant industry · Participated in tax planning and is knowledgeable in tax-saving strategies and cost segregation. · Solid accounting background and financial statements analysis in multi-unit and multistate · Performed accurate and detailed tax projection with review/support to company financial budget and LT projection · Knowledge of managing tax accounts: reconcile tax accounts, calculate accruals, and prepare deferred tax working and journal entries · Advanced experience with TX franchise tax – experience with different forms and regulations. Know how to file combined returns and provide accurate and valid adjustments to minimize taxes · Have good competence and experience with other than Texas nonresidents. 20+ states taxation · Familiar with different FA modules (book and tax) that support a big number of properties in different states. Review tax depreciation and provide adjustments and recommendations. · Search and analyze tax regulations to ensure compliance and take the best tax position. · Develop relationships with contact tax authorities to solve and deal with different correspondences · Familiar with business federal and states credits · Preparation of personal financial statements including business evaluations HERE’S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED: · Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting or taxation. CPA and MBA are a plus HERE’S WHAT Additional Eligibility Qualifications YOU WILL NEED · Worked with Go System or similar tax software. · Advanced knowledge of excel. Worked in F9 add-in function is a plus · Advanced knowledge of Great Plain or PDI accounting systems is a plus · Keen attention to detail.
