SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Skyline Windows is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business. We are best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All of our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all! Position Summary:The Window Technician is responsible for on-site repair of glass windows. The Technician works with the Technician Lead to ensure work site set up, performs contracted window repair, and maintains required level of customer service. Essential Functions: • Ability to drive and have a clean driving history to drive company vehicle as needed • Responsible for assigned company vehicle • Perform all duties in a safe manner and advise of any unsafe working conditions • Complete window repairs a timely manner inclusive of performing caulking of frames, capping, etc. • Setting, leveling, plumbing, fastening, etc. of all commonly installed Skyline Windows • Be able to read a measuring tape • Effectively collaborate with co-workers to achieve desired results • Ability to read detailed work orders and/or shop drawings • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service to client Compensation and Benefits: • Represented by Local 522, Teamsters • Benefits provided per union contract Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Experience with window repair • Must be familiar with commercial windows (Double hung, casement, sliders, tilt and turn and terrace doors) and their hardware systems. (Some specific training will be offered) • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written • Ability to read shop drawings a plus Experience & Education: • High School diploma or equivalent GED • 1 year of window repair experience required Physical Requirements: • Ability to Lift, pull, push & carry up to 75 lbs, multiple times on a daily basis • Ability to work on an open construction site which may include high elevation • Working knowledge of hand an power tools • Able to travel to worksites located in NYC
