We are seeking a skilled Software Developer in Test to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team you will be responsible for developing testing and maintaining high-quality software products working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

As a key member of our dynamic team you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and you’ll be working closely with fellow developers designers and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations.
Software Development Expertise:
- Background in software development/testing demonstrating expertise in programming languages such as Java.
Cloud Technology Proficiency:
- Basic knowledge of cloud-based technologies showcasing some familiarity with modern cloud ecosystems and concepts used in them.
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills:
- Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and debugging with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions. Willingness to learn and improve.
Software Testing Expertise:
- Experience/knowledge in developing comprehensive test plans and executing test cases to ensure software products meet quality standards and requirements.
Automation Integration:
- Interest/knowledge in implementing and integrating test automation into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency.
- Proficiency with Java optionally even Java EE/Jakarta EE experience - or experience with a similar framework like Spring. Knowledge of JUnit Maven Git Jenkins and other commonly used Java libraries including knowledge of Java internals.
- Familiarity with cloud and container technologies including Docker Kubernetes Red Hat OpenShift etc.
- Groovy Python and scripting in Linux and Unix environments Windows PS will also be useful.
