We are seeking a skilled Software Developer in Test to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining high-quality software products and working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

As a key member of our dynamic team you will play a vital role in crafting and maintaining exceptional software quality through engineering rigor. Your responsibilities will primarily focus on designing developing and deploying robust scalable test automation frameworks and tools.

This includes:

• Developing sophisticated automated test suites (unit integration and functional) to rigorously validate the design and implementation of innovative features and new functionality.
• Designing and maintaining automated pipelines for continuous quality monitoring integrating tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) systems.
• Analyzing code to identify potential quality risks and collaboratively working with development teams to implement high-performance sustainable and reliable code.

• Fine-tuning and sustaining existing automation code for optimal performance and extensibility.

• Guiding and enforcing quality standards and development best practices across the engineering organization.

• Software Development Expertise - Background in software development/testing demonstrating expertise in programming languages - Java is required others nice to have.
• Linux experience is a big plus
• Problem-Solving Skills - Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and debugging with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions. Willingness to learn and improve.
• Quality-Driven Development - Experience with unit integration and functional test development to ensure software products meet quality standards and requirements.
• CI/CD Integration & Automation - Knowledge in implementing and integrating automated build and deployment processes into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and enhance efficiency.

• Proficiency with Java optionally even Java EE/Jakarta EE experience - or experience with a similar framework like Spring.
• Knowledge of JUnit Maven Git Jenkins and other commonly used Java libraries including knowledge of Java internals.
• Demonstrated experience setting up maintaining or enhancing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. using Jenkins GitLab CI or similar) to enforce quality gates and run automated tests.
• Familiarity with cloud and container technologies including Docker Kubernetes Red Hat OpenShift etc.
• Groovy Python Ansible and scripting in Linux; Windows PS will also be useful.
