You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Troubleshoot performance issues in collaboration with architecture and development teams. Performs root cause analysis and drives issues to appropriate resolutions.
- Do the capacity planning for the applications and present it to the management. Draft performance test artifacts, including test plans and test summaries.
- Tuning and debugging application, identifying modern data pipeline issues, and providing recommendation for them.
- Do the Application Performance Monitoring for Response time, throughput, Network utilization, CPU utilization and Memory utilization. Forecasting Application capacity and provide guidance on increase application efficiency. Able to setup monitoring for the application connection pool setup, Memory, CPU utilization. Understanding design principles and implementing and monitoring caching techniques in application side.
- Leading the optimization of distributed system, micro service architectures, Cloud or Hybrid application infrastructure. Able to provide insight into JVM (multithreading & synchronization, memory management & garbage collection), and ability to analyze application with JVM tools. Experience of thread and heap dump, GC log analysis, Java profiling and Profiler/Monitoring tools. Circuit break implementation in micro services applications.
- Create performance testing scripts using JMETER and/or LoadRunner.
- Execute the performance test scenarios through Blazemeter and/or LoadRunner.
- Enhance/customize the performance test scripts as per requirement.
- Analyze and present the performance test results.
- Establish performance testing priorities and communicate priorities to the leads
- Raise performance test defects and track for closure.
- Leverage APM tools such as AppD or DynaTrace to analyze performance bottlenecks.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Must have good knowledge more than 3 years of applied knowledge of the application design and architecture, well versed with performance engineering. Should be able discover potential performance issues early in the development cycle.
- A complete understanding of software development life cycle and performance engineering concepts like caching, connection pool management, CPU/Memory/IO utilization, response time/throughput analysis.
- Hands on experience in various performance testing tools: JMeter, BlazeMeter, LoadRunner.
- Experience with Performance Monitoring Tools (i.e., dynaTrace, AppDynamics, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and experience with profiling application end to end performance and identifying application and hardware/operating system bottlenecks. A strong knowledge of Monitoring, profiling tools, instrumentation that allow for analysis of system health and potential bottlenecks and doing the root cause analysis. (Must have knowledge of tool like Appdynamics, Dynatrace, Geneos, Cloud watch, Data dog, Jprofiler.)
- Strong hands-on experience in understanding the architecture of java-based application and finding the bottleneck and providing solution for same. Experience working in an Agile environment preferred. Service virtualization and network condition testing experience

- Strong experience in application design, architecture, development, tuning, performance optimization and bottleneck root cause investigation and fixing.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
