JOB SUMMARY:

The Promo Analytics Specialist will have a passion for data-driven decision-making and a deep understanding of promotional strategies. As a Promotional Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our promotions by analyzing ROI, sales lift, and potential cannibalization of full-margin sales. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping our promotional strategies and driving revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following, other duties may be assigned)

  • ROI Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of promotional campaigns to determine their Return on Investment (ROI), identifying factors that contribute to successful promotions and areas for improvement.
  • Sales Lift Assessment: Measure and interpret the impact of promotions on sales performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the drivers of sales lift and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Cannibalization Evaluation: Assess the potential cannibalization effect of promotions on full-margin sales. Provide recommendations to minimize negative impacts while maximizing promotional benefits.
  • Developing dashboards and tools to empower stakeholders to make more informed decisions.
  • Proactively consult with Marketing, Sales, & Finance on strategic business decisions to drive profitable growth.
  • Promotion Effectiveness Reporting: Generate clear and concise reports on the performance of promotions, outlining key findings and actionable insights for stakeholders at various levels.
  • Data Insights: Utilize data mining and statistical analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance, and other relevant teams to gather insights, align on goals, and ensure the integration of promotional strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Revenue Growth Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue trends and drivers to identify growth opportunities. Develop forecasts and predictive models to guide revenue enhancement strategies.
  • Tool Utilization: Leverage advanced analytics tools, software, and techniques to streamline data analysis and visualization, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of reporting.

EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience 3+ years in data analysis, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, R, Python, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods for analyzing promotional data.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to present complex insights in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the capacity to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with revenue growth analysis, forecasting techniques, and predictive modeling.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to remain stationary or sit for the majority of scheduled day.
  • Able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment throughout the day.
  • Ability to use normal office equipment regularly (computer, printer etc)
  • Ability to lift 10 LBS
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
