Staff Accountant

We have partned with a mission driven organization in Long Island City, NY on this Staff Accountant position and are looking for you if you have the below skills. This role is fully onsite and knowledge of Sage Intacct is a huge plus! • Support day-today accounting operations, accurate financial reporting and internal controls • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. • Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. • Prepare financial reports and assist with budget tracking and variance analysis. • Support grant reporting in compliance with government and regulatory requirements.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • At least 1 year of staff accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment. • Proficiency withSage Intacctis required. • Strong Excel skills.
