Job Description

Job Summary In this role, you manage a team of 30+ carpenters, assembly people, finishers, painters, and packers to plan, manage and produce custom fabrications, including custom millwork, displays for stores and tradeshow booths. You will also manage and produce props for scenic work in film and tv. In this supervisory roll, you will be responsible for maintaining the schedules, managing the materials and workflow. You will schedule labor and manage payroll. You should be an expert in woodworking, cabinet making, work with metal, and acrylic from concept to completion, while maintaining strict engineering plans and understanding how to read and interpret drawings. You will also have oversite of CNC cutting. Required Qualifications and Skills -Fabrication & Master level Carpentry experience a must and required. -5+ years experience in a production role with specific industry related experience dealing with three dimensional custom fabrication projects -Must be detail-oriented, dedicated, be reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic -Able to solve problems on your own and get the job done with good judgment -Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of the larger team. -Must be able to read, understand and mark up shop drawings for design and carpentry departments. Responsibilities and Duties You will report to the Shop Manager. You will oversee all elements of the production of projects assigned. You will be responsible for management of sourcing, purchasing materials and managing projects from start to finish. You must enjoy a fast-paced environment.
