Structural Welder/Boilermaker

Job Title:Welder / Boiler BuilderSummary: We are seeking a skilled Welder / Boiler Builder to join our team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing boilers, tanks, and large vessels, using various welding techniques and tools. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to safety, and experience working in industrial or construction environments. Key Responsibilities: • Fabricate, assemble, and install boilers, pressure vessels, and related equipment in compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. • Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux Core, on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys. • Cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding and fitting using hand tools, torches, and plasma cutters. • Inspect welds and structures to ensure quality standards and safety codes are met (e.g., ASME standards). • Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on existing boilers and pressure vessels. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. • Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople on installation and repair projects. • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. • Operate cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment as needed to position and install components. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized welding apprenticeship or vocational training preferred. • Certification in welding processes (AWS, ASME, or similar) is highly desirable. * * * • Proven experience in welding, boiler building, or pressure vessel fabrication. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics. • Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures. • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights. • Good teamwork and communication skills. Work Environment: • Primarily industrial and construction sites, sometimes in confined spaces and at heights. • Exposure to heat, noise, and potentially hazardous materials; appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
