BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting subjects, such as accounting and auditing, business law, finance, microeconomics, macroeconomics, or tax subjects from an accredited college or university; OR must have at least 1-year working experience in accounting and auditing methods, techniques, and procedures; OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Supervisory experience to include leading and managing a multicultural work force is highly desirable.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, from an accredited college or university, with a professional designation (e.g. CICA, CFE) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (e.g. GAAP, GAAS) theories, and techniques to independently perform auditing and review work for operational programs.
- Skill in professional auditing and/or accounting field with the knowledge of management principles and procedures in order to conduct analytical studies of the organization and business practices, analyzes findings, and preparing recommendations.
- Knowledge of Marine Corps and MCCS organizational concepts and civilian personnel relations and procedures sufficient to advise and assist on management matters.
- Ability to process and analyze accounting systems, including double entry accounting procedures and the flow of financial information.
- Skill in conducting interviews with supervisors and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, functions, and work procedures.
- Must have the ability to supervise and perform managerial functions.
- Efficiency in a variety of computer software programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and flowcharting.
- A valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator's permit is required for the performance of duties for this position. Inability to obtain or maintain appropriate GOV licensing will result in termination for lack of qualifications. The incumbent is required to obtain required GOV licenses within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
This position has been designated as Non-Critical Sensitive and therefore requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of the security investigation.
