IdenTrust's Business Operations Department:

IdenTrust, part of HID Global, is a public key certificate authority that provides digital certificates to financial institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies and enterprises. The software development team is responsible for developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, solving problems, and resolving defects. The team is based in Salt Lake City.

As our Systems Engineer, you'll support HID's success by:

• Engaging in the planning, design, development, and improvement of processes in a hosting provider environment.
• Interacting with clients, peers, and management to help define business requirements and operational goals and resolve systems issues.
• Being responsible for System administration of all *ix Servers. These include installation, backups, patch management, performance tuning, scripting/automation of recurring tasks, day-to-day system resource management and monitoring.
• Periodic after hours (on-call rotation & scheduled) hardware and software maintenance of servers. Requires occasional travel for system implementation, upgrades or maintenance.
• Interfacing with Software Engineers, QA, PKI staff, Network Engineering, DBA's and Application product owners in the determination of deadlines & priorities for application, system and support tasks.
• Verifying and validating systems and meets internal and external requirements
• Taking ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

What we will love about your background:

• A solid understanding of a *ix operating systems, inter-process communication, file system concepts.
• Strong working knowledge of Virtual management tools and technologies, specifically Cisco UCS & VMWare.
• Experienced System Administration in a highly available server infrastructure.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Operating System security and auditing.
• Working knowledge and understanding of (TCP/IP).
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP.
• Understanding of tape backup/recovery and disaster planning processes.
• Strong Perl and UNIX shell scripting expertise & related utilities.

Your Experience and Education include:

• 5 years of experience working in the technology field/can be substituted with education.
• Must have experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
• As a Trusted Role, the candidate must agree to, and successfully pass a comprehensive background check to include:

• Civil review (public records, judgments, liens, etc.).

• Drug screening.
