UX Researcher, Discovery & New Products

Location: This role is completely remote-friendly . If you happen to live close to one of our physical office locations our doors are open for you to come into the office as often as you'd like.

As a UX Researcher in our Consumer Product org you’ll investigate user behavior and needs using qualitative methods to design and conduct foundational and evaluative research to guide executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage their research skills to drive product strategy and improve the user experience for new and future users of Reddit.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute high-quality high-impact research studies focusing primarily on foundational and generative work.

• Drive communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners including engineering data science design product/program management etc.

• Drive product strategy across product pillars via actionable insights and strong partnership with Product Design Engineering and other cross-functional team members.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience conducting research in-house at consumer tech company

• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research methods including when and how to apply them during each product development phase.

• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

• Experience leading strategy via partnership with product managers designers engineers and data scientists.

• Excellent interpersonal organizational written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into concise actionable insights.

• Can prioritize time between multiple projects and be flexible adapting to changing priorities while maintaining project velocity.

Nice to Haves:

• Masters or Ph.D. in Anthropology Psychology Statistics Behavioral Science Human-Computer Interaction related fields or equivalent experience.
