Geriatrics opening in Jonesboro, AR 70 miles to Memphis TN; 100 miles to Little Rock, AR Service area of 100,000 people Full time, permanent opening - Senior Health Clinic physicians typically see 7-8 patients per half clinic day session. - New patient appointments are 40 minutes for the physician. - Established patient visits are 30 minutes. - Acute visits are 20 minutes. - Physicians are likely to never see more than 15-16 patients per day depending on the appointment type. - After hours call is shared by 6 providers making the rotation roughly q 6 weeks. - After hours call is phone call only as the hospitalist service covers all inpatients. - During a one week call rotation (Monday-Monday), there are approximately 20 after hours calls. - Providers get a post call day the Monday after their week on call. - Senior Health Clinic utilizes an interdisciplinary team including a full time social worker to meet the needs of the older population. - There is a patient base of approximately 1200. - There are 2 geriatricians as well as 2 APRNs.
