ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORKER) SUPERVISOR - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

The primary purpose of this position is to exercise limited technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing the maintenance, repair, installation of paved and unpaved roads and the operation of motor vehicles, tractors, cranes and heavy equipment required to support the real property maintenance of test ranges. Work in cramped or confined places, on ladders, scaffolds or roof tops. Exposure to toxic chemicals or other hazards may require occupational health examinations Works inside and outside, exposed to extreme heat/cold, dust, dirt, grim, and inclement weather, disagreeable working environment and odors. Exposure to hazardous gases, noise, chemicals, acid, caustics, and bacteria. Subject to minor cuts, bruises, abrasions, the hazards of moving machinery and noise. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
