Duties
The primary function of this position is to create, manage, and publish written and visual content for social media, as well as develop all supporting written marketing materials to promote 1 SOFSS marketing initiatives.
Content Development & Execution:
-Conceptualize, develop, and publish engaging content across multiple 1 SOFSS mixed media platforms to include social media, monthly magazine publications, calendars, website, email campaigns, and digital TV, and marquee monitors.
-Maintain development of content creation of written publishing projects, including research, interviews, writing, editing, proofreading, production coordination, and distribution of content for social media, website, monthly magazine feature articles, newsletters, advertisements, and briefing presentations.
-Capture and produce high-quality multimedia content using digital cameras, DJI Osmo, and related tools, ensuring readiness for both digital, with some audio integration, and print platforms.
-Ensure all content adheres to AP Stylebook guidelines and maintains the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, clarity, and brand consistency, and compliance to prevent publication errors.
Social Media & Marketing Timelines:
-Concept, develop and execute integrated social media campaigns to stay current with digital marketing trends and social media best practices, creating content calendars to boost engagement and visibility of active programs.
-Maintain content forecasting with 3-, 6-, and 12-month content calendars to support proactive marketing planning and event promotion.
-Track data, analyze, and report on metrics and performance data.
Production Coordination & Customer Support:
-Prioritize workflow and time management of editing and finalizing publications and materials to meet fast deadlines.
-Coordinates with monthly magazine lead designer and stakeholders to coordinate delivery and turnover of written content.
-Provide friendly and effective support to both internal and external customers. Anticipate needs, verify information, and resolve issues proactively. Ensure customer satisfaction and escalate issues to higher-level supervisors when necessary.
-Provide back-up support for various marketing positions during absences or high workload periods to assist with website content updates, posting event information, and ensuring content accuracy.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Tier 1 background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Resident meeting the three-year requirement.
This position has a physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, or related field, OR 2 years of business experience managing written and image content for social media, website, and other digital marketing communications, including email marketing. Demonstrated experience in creating engaging content for Facebook and Instagram, as well as executing initiatives that drive community growth and engagement. Strong oral and written communication skills, with expertise in grammar, writing, editing, and the ability to compose content that adheres to editorial guidelines. Experience writing for mixed media channels to include social media, web and print publications. Demonstrated design and aesthetic judgment skills using creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Advanced skills in photography and video production specific to social media and web use, including proficiency with DJI Osmo equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly for creating reports and briefs for management-level meetings and program reviews.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.
