**Primary Care Physician opening in NC** **Located in Oxford, 29m to Durham** **Full Time Position** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Oxford, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community. Key Responsibilities: 1. Patient Care: o Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments. o Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions. o Perform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education. o Manage common illnesses and injuries, and coordinate care for more complex cases. o Provide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. 2. Community Engagement: o Foster relationships with patients and their families, understanding and addressing their unique needs. o Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs. o Build trust within the community and advocate for the healthcare needs of the population. 3. Collaboration and Coordination: o Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staff. o Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed. o Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care and consultation. 4. Administrative Duties: o Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. o Manage administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and billing, as required. o Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines. 5. Emergency Care: o Provide emergency medical care for urgent health issues when necessary. o Be prepared to handle a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting. 6. Professional Development: o Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements. o Participate in professional organizations and conferences relevant to primary care. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Licensure: Valid medical license in NC or eligibility for licensure. Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in a rural or underserved setting is preferred but not required. Skills: o Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o The ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs. o Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologies.
