Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Inns of Charleston at JB Charleston SC. Physical Effort: The work involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets, pushing carts loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets, lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
