As a Summer/Winter Analyst at Altman Solon, you will gain exposure to strategy consulting. The summer term will run for 10 weeks from June to August and winter will be 10 weeks from January to March. Candidates will be given the choice to work in the Boston, MA; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; or San Francisco, CA offices. Over the course of the program, you will be involved in every aspect of our consulting practice. While a Summer/Winter Analyst’s specific role will vary from project to project, responsibilities include:
Developing novel, data-driven methodologies and owning execution of solving complex client problemsÂ
Building a variety of rigorous business models, market sizings, and quantitative Excel-based tools to be delivered to (and used by) clients on an on-going basisÂ
Conducting research to understand market demand drivers, competitive landscapes, and technology trends; methods include state-of-the-art survey design & analysis as well as primary interviews with subject matter expertsÂ
Assisting with synthesis and presentation of key findings and recommendations to our clientsÂ
Developing content-specific knowledge that will continue to expand and evolve through your time at Altman SolonÂ
The Summer/Winter Analyst role is open to undergraduate students who are on track to graduate in December 2024 or spring of 2025 and to Masters degree students on track to graduate in December 2024 or spring of 2025. We are looking for:Â
Problem solvers with analytical minds and strong communication skillsÂ
Motivated to use strong quantitative and analytical skills to solve problems in dynamic industries that require innovative solutionsÂ
Strong academic record – successful Altman Solon Analysts come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds, and all majors are encouraged to applyÂ
Ability to translate complex problems into structured, manageable concepts and approachesÂ
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts via verbal, written, and visual meansÂ
Familiarity with business concepts and understanding of key performance driversÂ
Team players with a commitment to producing outstanding workÂ
Enjoy working with teams and working independently as requiredÂ
Dedication to producing high-quality output with integrity and exceptional attention to detail
Excited about the prospect of contributing to internal firm life and cultureÂ
Passion for learning and interest in TMT industry, with ability to absorb information quickly and effectively and a growth mindsetÂ
Location: Boston, MA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA (determined by candidate)
Compensation: $1,800/week
