Summary
Devens Reserve Force Training Area Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) supports the well-being of the entire military community through high-quality leisure and support services. Duties
Supervises and oversees the management and operation of a Fitness Facility up to 8060 Sq ft.
Continually assesses facility requirements and develops plans and specifications for projects to augment or replace fitness and sports facilities.
Reviews directives from higher levels of authority and prepares implementing SOPs and updates regulatory guidance.
Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required
This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation
Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2
Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, AND AED, and Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.
Must complete the following course(s)/class: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service, and Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair)
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Directly related work experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports
HIGHLY PREFERRED are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and:
Candidates who possess a combination of education (an undergraduate in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology) and the ability, knowledge and skills to perform the duties identified above. MWR Sports and Fitness Administration Course and Lifeguard Management.

Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates who are U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals that have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation Worldwide; however, applicants that do not reside in the local commuting area (defined as a 30-mile radius) of Devens RFTA, MA MUST be willing to relocate to the commuting area AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE no later than 15 days after receipt of an Official Job Offer.
Spouse Employment Preference (SEP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area of consideration.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Night differential and Sunday Premium Pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander for Non-Bargaining NF positions and will not be paid to any Non-Bargaining NF employees.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.?
