FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

You will monitor, maintain documentation, and report the status of whole center repairs and all major construction projects You will provide program guidance and direction to facility management staff at subordinate activities. You will oversee proper functionality of installed phone systems, to include repair of existing lines and installation of new phone systems. You will be required to complete the following: Intro to NAVOSH (Ashore) A-493-0050 or online equivalent A-493-0550, and Introduction to Hazardous Materials (Ashore) A-493-0031 and Introduction to Industrial Hygiene A-493-0335. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Qualifications For GS 11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience reviewing maintenance and construction projects for compliance with technical standards and specifications from start to finish. Experience analyzing facility-related documents, including repair contracts, real estate instruments, inter-service agreements, and MOUs. Experience applying fire and hazardous material regulations to provide program guidance, oversight, and safety training. Experience investigating mishaps and providing technical assistance to Collateral Duty Safety Officers (CDSOs) per applicable laws.
