Job description
TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate and quality-driven physician to join our inpatient
rehabilitation team in Johnson City, Tennessee. This is a full-time opportunity (7-on/7-off model,
days only) rounding and providing medical directorship at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, with
excellent support and training, autonomy, and earning potential. The estimated compensation range is
$282,906 to $332,287 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. Medical directorship
roles also include monthly stipends.In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to a diverse
patient population, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and build meaningful
relationships with patients and their families. You will have an opportunity to deliver exceptional
care during life's pivotal moments.Our comprehensive clinical and operational leadership team will
support your transition into our medical practice with a comprehensive 3-month onboarding program
along with a dedicated clinical field mentor and support from industry leading clinical experts in
inpatient rehabilitation/post-acute medicine. Growth and leadership opportunities within this market
are available as well.Modules in our Medical Director Leadership Academy (MDLA) will position you
for success in quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with the facility leadership as a
valued partner of the team. This educational program is best-in-class and not provided by any other
organizations practicing post-acute medicine.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive inpatient
medical assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of rehabilitation goalsManage
acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with the rehabilitation planMonitor functional
progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goalsCollaborate with rehabilitation
physicians, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team membersProvide medical education to
patients and families related to recovery, comorbidities, and preventionMaintain accurate, timely
medical records in compliance with regulationsQualificationsActive Tennessee medical license and
DEAExperience in post-acute or acute settings preferred, but not required; new grads welcome to
applyStrong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standardsExcellent
communication and interpersonal skillsCollaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive
