Locum tenens opportunity in Boise, ID for an outpatient psychiatrist focusing
on adult and geriatric medication management. Coverage is clinical-only, beginning ASAP and
continuing for a minimum of two months with a flexible one-day-per-week schedule (Mondays or
Thursdays preferred), 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Clinical responsibilities include medication management and
follow-up evaluations for established patients (no intakes), developing and adjusting treatment
plans, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining thorough documentation. You will collaborate
with behavioral health teams and onsite clinical and administrative staff to support continuity of
care. Typical patient population is adults and older adults (no patients under 18); daily patient
volume averages are high.
Requirements: active Idaho medical license or IMLC acceptance, board
certified or board eligible in psychiatry, and outpatient/geriatric psychiatry experience preferred.
Must be able to work independently in an outpatient setting. Hospital privileges are
required.
Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided; preference given to providers
within a short travel distance.
