Duties
You will use maintenance and readiness databases (e.g., Maintenance and Material Management [3M], Current Ship's Maintenance Project [CSMP], , and Fleet Technical Support [FTS} systems to make material readiness assessments.
You will use computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) to generate reports on department workload and mission situational briefs.
You will maintain a status tracking system of organizational workload to manage work commitments.
You will analyze ship maintenance and modernization business proposals to allocate time, manpower, or other requirements.
You will direct administrative functions required to execute the day to day operations of an organization.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Prioritizing Combat Systems (CS) and , Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) workloads for fleet technical support and field service engineering assignments;
2) Understanding how work requests are generated and brokered with Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP),Validation, Screening and Brokering (VSB) and Automated work requests (2Kilo/AWR);
3) Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of line program operations to meet established goals and objectives;
4) Interacting with ships Port Engineers and Maintenance Material Management Coordinators (3MCs) for up lining of work requests;
5) Using NAVSEA resources information systems, Identity Access Manager (IAM) Fleet Technical Support (FTS) and Time, Attendance, and Reporting (TA&R) to manage assessments and technical assistance requests.

If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
