Summary This position is part of the US Election Assistance Commission. The incumbent will be responsible for disseminating information to the public, through the Internet and published reports about federal election administration. The selectee must physically report to the duty station, Washington, DC. This is not a 100% remote position. Learn more about this agency Duties Designs and produces visual communication materials for reports, clearinghouse materials, brochures, infographics, promotional materials, and other visual products supporting the EAC’s mission. Creates original visual assets, including illustrations, diagrams, icons, and artwork to convey election-related concepts and data. Develops and maintains EAC branding elements, including event logos, graphic templates, color palettes, and style standards. Develops the designs and production of high-visibility agency publications such as the EAC Annual Report, Agency Financial Report, Congressional Budget Justification, and technical research products. Ensures work products meet federal requirements for accessibility including Section 508 standards. Requirements Conditions of employment US Citizenship is required. Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation. Direct Deposit of pay is required. Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt. Qualifications To qualify, applicants must have one-year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. More specifically, specialized experience for this position is defined as: experience providing specialized expertise in visual communication such as with branding, graphic design, and conceptualizing multimedia content materials; experience designing and producing visual communication materials: (reports, brochures, infographics, promotional materials, publications, and other visual products); experience ensuring work products meet accessibility standards; experience providing visual design recommendations to enhance user experience, navigation, and information delivery on digital platforms, for example website graphics, social media visuals, slide decks, and digital media supporting communication campaigns and stakeholder engagement. OR: Undergraduate or Graduate Education (degree): Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.
