Job description
Ref #: C-LPN-9061416
Join a friendly team in Newport, VT for a 13-week contract/travel opportunity
starting ASAP. This position is full-time with shifts roughly 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and offers travel pay
at $1,832 per 40-hour week.
What we’re looking for:
An active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
license for the state.
Current BLS certification.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll provide hands-on
nursing care under RN or physician direction — everything from giving medications and monitoring
vitals to wound care and IV therapy. You’ll complete patient assessments, help develop and follow
individualized care plans, document changes and treatments accurately, and collect specimens for lab
testing. Educating patients and families, promoting preventive care (like vaccinations and
screenings), and advocating for patient needs are all part of the role.
On a typical day you
might:
Administer medications and prescribed treatments with attention to correct dosing and
protocols.
Assess and manage wounds, catheters, and IV lines, watching for complications or signs of
infection.
Monitor and chart vital signs, pain levels, and other changes in condition.
Assist with
positioning, mobility, and comfort measures; respond to emergencies using established protocols and
basic life support.
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to
coordinate care.
Follow infection control practices and handle medications and supplies
safely.
Supervise CNAs or other assistive personnel when applicable.
Participate in ongoing
education to stay current with nursing best practices.
Other responsibilities may be assigned by
management. If you’re a dependable LPN who values teamwork and patient-centered care, we’d love to
hear from you.
